Oklahoma Learners Permit

Learner's Permit

To obtain a Learner's Permit you:

Must be at least fifteen and one-half (15 1/2) years of age.
Have an approved affidavit from the DPS designating your parent or guardian as your qualified instructor. download affidavit
Have taken our Online Oklahoma Teen Drivers Education Course.

Once you are ready to take the DPS Written Exam, go to the driver's license office and bring the following:

Your parent instructor
A fee of $25.50
A primary and secondary form of identification (birth certificate, social security card, student ID with photo, health insurance card, a signed affidavit at DPS by your parent)
Documentation of school attendance and 8th grade reading proficiency (obtained at your school)

Once you obtained a learner's permit for at least 6 months and have passed the course, you are eligible to apply for an Oklahoma Driver's license.
